The coffee industry in Indonesia originated in the late 17th and early 18th centuries. Dutch planters brought typica from India to the city of Batavia (now Jakarta) on the island of Java.
The climate and soil of Indonesia are almost ideal for growing coffee. Mountain landscapes, minerals in the soil, sufficient precipitation, sea air and a large number of volcanoes around.
Indonesia ranks 4th in the world in terms of coffee production. It is noticeable that over the past 30 years it has almost doubled. It is important to remember that 90% of all coffee in Indonesia is robusta.
Our company imports real Indonesian coffee.
